Go and buy the Stryker SR-A10 CB Antenna, I am using from two years and have not faced any kind of issue yet. No need to tune.

Only antenna that doesn't need tuning is the one in the garbage..jessejamesdallas Thanks this. -
Yeah and we all know dealers give you top $ for a trade in.. -
Given the ratio, how many S units are lost? Probably negligible on the receiving end. And if those 4 watts lost all go back to the radio (which they wouldn’t due to coax loss), it better not hurt the radio. A Cobra can withstand hours of dead key without an antenna as seen on YouTube. I expect at least as much from a fancy Stryker. And his Stryker has an antenna connected. -

Quote: "How long is it?"
The last time I looked, the Stryker SR-A10 is about 63 inches long, equivalent to the Wilson 1000 and 5000. I assume the performance is about equivalent as well. -

Well no offense there, but when a dealer that does the business he does, and has been doing for close to 50 years, tells me a hole in the roof of a pickup, with the proper rubber plug in it won't hurt the trade in value, I'm gonna take his word for it. Now if it had a CB antenna still attached, or duct tape covering the hole, or a big wad of silicone chalk, that might make a difference. Otherwise, it won't hurt it a bit......they probably won't even notice!
