Allows a shunter to move it without a PTO to lift up the legs? Just supply air to the brakes and drag it around I'm guessing.

I'm not sure, but my guess is that in that era before maxi brakes you had to air up the trailer and pull the trailer brake before hooking up to it in order to keep it from rolling backwards. I suspect that the wheels on the landing gear allowed it to move a bit without ripping off the landing gear if a person was trying to slide under it without taking the time to stop and air the trailer up first.

New wheels on the trailer. Had to replace the rear brake pods as when I jacked it up both rear wheels turned. Gerrr. I had new cans in the shop so not a major deal. Spent most of yesterday and all morning today working on the company T660. Needed a new window regulator. I changed the window felt seal about a month ago and the motor didn’t last long after that. That door is all hacked up on the inside and out. I did my best to get it back together but it’s a mess.
Snowing on the way home from the shop.
