Wondering why this crackdown is making headlines and the one last fall didn't.
Last fall the OSHP did a "crackdown" over the course of 2 days on US 33 between Columbus and Marysville. They popped over 300 cars for tailgaiting semis, moving over too soon in front of semis and not paying attention while passing a semi. In that number there were also I a few semis popped for the same things. But it was only like 6 or 8.
They could do that every single day and it would take years to change people's habbits.06driver and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
Gotta get the right people, then the word goes out faster.mjd4277 Thanks this.

My opinion is they need to take the right amount of money. Fines haven't went up in 30+ years. My speeding ticket in 1990 cost almost to the dollar what my son's did last summer. Raise fines across the board so it takes a weeks pay for most to pay it. Then folks will take the hint.
Dave_in_AZ and tucker Thank this. -
???? Why do they do this? Are they just trying to pick fights?
-
99.9% of the people that do that have never been in a real fight in their lives.
They do that because they are most important. DMV should issue "I'm most important tags", so they are more easily recognized.
They were inconvenienced by the large vehicle, due to their own piss poor driving skills, so they fly into a rage, and must have vengeance. Most have egos the size of an aircraft carrier. -
Tennessee and Nebraska both go for “ride alongs” catching morons who don’t drive properly around CMVs. If they want ride with me I’d welcome it-and I’d do it for free!Dave_in_AZ and 06driver Thank this.
