Paper log till I get back into a consistent truck.

Flight time is on duty not driving. FLIGHT TIME. Told me off duty anything else.

Makes literally zero sense in my eyes but it works I suppose. Any time I can sleep safely shouldn’t be on duty anything but what do I know

It could be logged either way. He could log it off duty then when he gets the truck he marks it as "truck recovery" and starts his hours. He could also log it as on duty, but it will just eat up his hrs. The only reason I would log it on duty is if the co. told me to. Otherwise Id keep it as off duty.

They told me to log it on duty. With that being said.... I’m being sure to log the time. When exactly did the plane take off? Exactly when I need it too

I left at 1100 this morning. For all DOT knows I left at 1300, one hour flight, thirty minutes to truck, pre-trip and ride.

I’m not gonna screw myself on a 14 when I’m fresh and ready to roll. I’ve been awake since 0800 regardless. If I was attached to a truck and actually working OTR my day should be just about over in three hours... nothing logical about this clock for all facets of this industry....

    I feel ya.

The HOS make about zero sense in the real world. It does nothing but cause drivers to get pushed to the limit and passed. My old boss doesnt give a #### about the HOS and encouraged me and the other drivers to change our logs constantly. He didnt give a #### if we only got 5hrs of rest on our 10hr, as long as we were either at the pick up or delivery when we needed to be.

I received an oos violation for just this process. While you can log it either way, only one will hold up in inspection.

I am a one truck shop and still needed to do it as on duty not driving

I don't know about you guys, but when I come on here to see what everybody's doing I am anxiously waiting to see a attached file from @wore out's new ride! He is probably working out a few more details before he uploads pictures. Lookin forward to seeing it completed!

I'm just some schmo on the computer that you've never met but you might want to watch what you post on here. There was an individual that use to work at your company on here that was always posting everything he was or wasn't doing. I don't know if someone called him in or if your company saw it on here but he was routed back through your home terminal and he no longer works there because of his actions.

You seem to be a whole lot smarter and competent than he was so I would hate to see anything happen to you because of something you put on here unnecessarily, just sayin.

    Have a safe trip!

Great pic! They're still following you around? lol.

Being that low you could probably hear him even driving down the road.

P.S. That's a great CB antennae, I use to have one just like it, best one I ever owned IMO.
