Its come down to it a couple of times I've had no choice, Xtra day out ran out of food, couldn't make it to somewhere I could park and walk to an actual sit down place.
I agree no buffet, order off the menu grilled chicken breast, or eggs over easy. Something they actually have to grill up, not sitting on the feed trough

Buffet dining is always a no-no just for the reasons stated but ordering from the menu is still a viable option. Some drivers have refrigerators for their own meals, some prefer to eat fast food or from the grill rollers just to save some money but it is of course an individual preference of any driver which way suits them for dinner. I have always preferred to park the truck, take a shower, change to fresh clothes and have a sit down meal which usually is in a truck stop. Remember when Flying J had some of the best hand carved meals anywhere? Thanks a lot Pilot for killing that great concept. Petro and TA are not what they used to be but at least for me it provides a place to sit, relax and have a meal of choice rather than eat from the roller grill. By the way now that I have retired, bought a new 5th wheel and pick up I can finally sit down to a "real home cooked" meal while on the road. I'm just sayin'homeskillet Thanks this.

Well it's fish Friday. And they have 3 kinds of fish. Most of which is pretty good, but $14 is stiff for fish.
They also have this......
