If your team hires rookies, you're on the same notch. I'm not saying anything bad about your company, but if your company hires rookies just like theirs, you will end up wth relatively the same mix. Now there are companies that look for those guys that have felonies, and tickets and accidents...you know, the guys who can't get a job at the bottom feeders and have to take a job at those second chance places and make a lower starting wage. Your company IS a notch above them.

    "Best training."

All entry level companies have the same bible, same tarps, same freight. They're going to teach the exact same thing. So avoid the Jim Jones Guyana KoolAid the companies serve. It's up to you, the individual, to stand out from the crowd.

The more rugged the area, the more hoods you see. The closer you get to the northern border, the more rugged the trucks. The closer you get to the Territories, the tougher the trucks.

I was trying to humor you a bit there, Six. :p

I can’t complain too much about the corporate Melton. I would have to agree with you in the end though.

In your case, it will be like trading everything in Jay Leno's garage for a Chevy Citation.

I know. I was just making a statement primarily for all the Kool Aid drinkers and lurkers out there who got fooled.

All too true. I notice Pete's all over the place in the Midwest. Practically trip over 379s. Get over the border in Alberta and it's more KWs. Tri-drives, tankers, flats, b trains, quads, RGNs, ALL over the place.

Those guys ain't scared to hang jewelry to keep trucking

Just taking a guess here but I'm pretty sure they don't have a driver that was born when a citation was built.....the Chevy of k-cars.....dang your making me feel old.

Next we'll be talking about rotary phones and party lines. We had this one old itch on our line.....

Dangit, I was just talking to a client of mine today about party lines, and having to wait until the neighbor was done to make a call.
