I was considering sat radio until my trainer played 1 station on Sirius for 2 weeks. Same songs over and over and over. I have an iPhone with lots of songs and can also do internet radio (free) while I'm driving. I realize that Sirius/XM have a lot more stations than my trainer used, but after 2 weeks, I can't see that I would pay the monthly fee.
Sirius-XM....

The second. While I do listen to talk radio, it's not "breaking news" issues. And I can get the majority of missed feeds online while home.
I can generally load a months worth on my I-Pod and listen the next trip out. -
I love my satellite radio, but at 13, 14 cents a share for Sirius stock, I'm not sure how much longer they will be around. I'm not that much into music as I am the talk stations. Having grown up near Cincinnati, I pretty much listen to WLW most of the time. -
Pretty much any where in the 48 you have a clear view to the sky.
You don't catch me without my sat radio. I even roll with a spare receiver in case mine dies on the road. All I gotta do is call Sirius with the new ESN and I'm back in business. -
Satellite Radio is pretty much like Satellite TV. The only difference is that TV gives you a picture.
There are as many RERUNS on the one as there are the other.
But, it still beats Am/Fm radio. The only time Am/Fm radio is used now, is to find the updates of traffic movement through Chicago. -
you can even get that on xm with the weather to boot!! there are both good and bad that happened with the merger. the dj's never used to 'hit the post' or overlap songs, but now do it to an annoying extent. I also miss a couple of my favorite channels that have disappeared, but by the same token, there are a couple of sirius channels that i really like. eg. underground garage. -
What got me to get my Sirius radio was a trip to Laredo Tx I DONT SPEAK SPANISH and dont understand their music either. Nothing like being in the middle of nowhere and cant get even an english speaking country station... Now that I have had my Sirius for over 2 years I couldnt travel with out it. NFL channel NASCAR Fox news Cnn news Hnn...Road dog channel. I am not a Howard Stern fan but if I wanted to I could listen to either of his 2 channels..I love the fact that I can tune into a race or a football game and never have to change the channel again until the game is over....
