I'm with the Pig on this one.... My Lap top... Maps, internet, TV, weather, Traffic,Radio (XM, and sirus). Banking, bill paying ect.

 

I am home alot so I don't usually carry my laptop with me.

So I quess my answer will have to be that I could not do without my sirius radio.

 

I would definitely say my XM radio. Although my CB is a very close second. My XM radio can't warn me that there is a wreck just over the next hill.

Unless I could get a 100% reliable internet connection while on the road. Then it would be a laptop.

 

Smarter??? Thanks I think... I just had to think about what I used and what made my everyday life in the truck bearable... The most used item is my laptop, my CB is always on to hear a warning about stopped traffic over the next hill, hard to do with out but only had one choice so I had to think hard about what is the best productive item I can carry. For all the reasons and more that I listed the lap top was tops... It had nothing about smarts just logic, (twisted as it may be at times) I'm no smarter than the next guy, I might think about a problem from a view point that he did not... That can give me more choice in actions and save my behind. Oh That's also called lived a little longer than the next guy... LOL Life is a great teacher of what one needs to know to survive, I spent 15 yrs in the Air Forced and have traveled the world on Uncle Sam's dime. Seen alot and learned a little...

 

My cell phone streams XM and television. I can also use it as a GPS. And, if I have a supersize magnifying glass...I can surf the web

 

I can see it now... Your parked at your favorite TS, sitting in yur bunk and you have those big 10x power glasses on looking into your cell phones screen and trying to type a post to respond to your favorite web site... ROFLMAO Hey but that's your pick, and it works for me.
