Thumper, have been with T/A now for about 5 months. Not as happy as I thought I would be but gotta start somewhere. Plan to stay here a yr then hopefully find a company that actually might care for their company drivers. Also hope that the economy will pick up a little by then. Things would be easier without the felony but....thats life and one just has to learn to deal with it. Would be a lot happier tho if I wasn't just sitting here with my thumb up my #####. This is NOT making either the company or me any money.

Kentucky, yes you can fill up at Pilot IF that is where Your fuel solution has you at. We fill up at all the major stations and then some. If you are a company driver, you MUST use their fuel and route solutions and they also recommend it to the L/O's.

Thumper how is the lease still going, getting miles, and support needed from transam?
-
Ok not to rain on anybody's parade here but in my opinion the lease program is a total ripoff.
I shoulda known better than to get into the lease but I too fell for how it looks on paper. Reality is a little different however. The 2nd day after I started with them my truck broke down. I was down for 3 days and after that I had a couple good months. Then comes the first of October. My truck breaks down again and long story short in the 5 months I been with T/A my truck has been in the shop 6 times. They will offer a loaner truck but everytime i tried to get one there wasn't one available.
I could go on but it would take ya'll 2 days to read everything. At the worst I went 3 wks without a settlement. I was $1200 in the hole at one point. I am not a slack driver I get out there and run as much as I can. I didn't refuse loads,i followed the route and fuel solution to a tee and never ran over 65 just trying to save money where I could. Here is my mile and settlement average since I been with them. I started July 25th
Average miles per wk : 2371
Average pay per wk after deductions : $555.24. Taxes still had to come out of that. These are the averages of the 21 wks I been there.
So now I'm trying to get out of the lease. I've been trying for 3 days to get a load back to Olathe to turn my truck in but it's just not happening. They have a dedicated fleet in Rocky Mount,NC which is close to my home but they say if I take it there they will charge me a recovery fee and put it on my DAC as an abandoned vehicle. This company is a nightmare. but anyway there is a post for the worst companies. Check it out -
dam hate to hear all that if i hit 3 weeks and no check ill be out the door other places to work for sofar the truck has held up good but havent been here that long yet.

Baack....... Do you have a way to find a Forum Member by the name of EagleOne? This guy lease purchased a truck with TrashCan... sorry, typo, TransAm about 7 or maybe 8 months ago. I think he'd have a bit to add here, but I don't know how to find him.
-
Go to Search. Scroll down to Advanced. Then type the name and you can see their posts. -
Yeah, I've done that, but I figure Baack has access, or knows someone who has access, to send him an email to the address he used to sign up.

#### dude! That just totally sucks... don't want to get into leasing at my company just yet because of the economy. That being said, I'm making a lot more than that just as a solo company driver.
