Nothin wrong with a Cascadia. The potential new boss has one, which was leased to my old boss, Ive put some miles on it and its big and comfy to run. The DD15 is decent and it has an apu. Its a condo cab, which is kind of dumb for flatbed/stepdeck stuff, but not really a big deal.

I can put down more miles more comfortably in it than in the straight piped W900

Possibly Al-Qaeda sabotaging your load? Maybe they are running low on weapons and cash and resort to terrorizing the roads with break away 48k coils?

That depends on how many times it derates. Oh look, A check engine light. Oh look, a 10% de-rate, Oh look, a Delta P sensor malfunction. What’s that, Venturi tube blocked? EGR valve data high? Regen needed. That’s my experience with a Cascadia and the DD15 in a five month time frame. Give me 10 mins with a laptop and it could be a decent truck.

You know Bear, I've been thinking about this a bit. A good portion of the time first impressions are correct, but I remember a time in my past:
I was working on a small ranch (10,000 deeded acres, 165,000 allotment) in Northern Nevada in 1980. The foreman at the time, who we remain friends with and just saw last month, was telling me about this long haired fella that had worked there on the fencing crew the previous summer. Now, this foreman really didn't care for long hair, and as a matter of course didn't see the need for facial hair either (although his son to this day has a mustache that puts Sam Elliot's to shame). I heard him say numerous times, "I don't see why guys will cultivate that crap on their face when it grows wild on their ###". Anyway, the foreman said that he almost ran this long haired fella off just because of his looks, but decided to give him a chance. Evidently the long hair turned out to be one hard workin son of a gun, and one of the best guys that he ever had on the fencing crew.
Since then I have always tried to remember to give everyone a chance despite how they might appear; occasionally looks are deceiving (well, except for me, I'm ugly and that ain't gonna change).

Pin striping is real big in Boston. I don't hang out there to know the "why" but that's for sure the "what".
