Police look for truck driver who helped block suicide attempt

God bless that truck driver for taking time from what I'm sure was a tight schedule to try to help a fellow human being. It's nice to see truck drivers shown in a positive light. Just one question -- I wonder how he logged that in his log book?

 

believe it or not, this really happened up here in New England some time ago.

there was a "jumper" standing on the outer ledge of an overpass.

a truck was driving on the highway, and the "jumper" leaped to what would have been his death by landing in front of this truck.

instead, he broke right through the roof (air foil) of the sleeper and landed onto the bunk. this of course scared the bajeebee's outta the truck driver. the "jumper" suffered multiple injuries, but otherwise survived.

having a trucker stop just under an overpass isn't anything new, in fact several times its been done, again up here, and my former co-worker was involved in such an effort. in the news article however, the police took credit for directing the rig, when in fact, thay hadn't even arrived at the scene yet. my friend saw this happening as the traffic was driving all over the place to avoid the "jumper", and he just parked under the "jumper"..............

so, heroics aside, why did the police take full credit for directing my friend, when there were not even there......??

that sucicide attempt took place in Connecticut on I-95............

It better be driving since he was behind the wheel and they have proof he was behind the wheel

Yeah, I know this thread is from back in the stone age but I was bored and just looking for stuff to read. Talk about a whopper of a truck driver story, lol.

Um, maybe if he fell from the ionosphere, but an overpass? Lololol!
