N14 shuts down randomly

    Usually the larger one is suction, but if they are both the same size, then the one with the tube that runs to the bottom will be the suction, if they both have tubes to the bottom, and both the same size, then I would say it doesn't matter.

    well...one port is open. the other still has a hose on it and it has an adapter for a smaller hose on it than the open one. so im thinking the one that is open is suction..thenone with the smaller hose should be return...?

    Usually smaller is return in Internationals but many have the same size.

    ok. thank you. i will try that out and hopefully it works out! i got a good deal on this 80 gallon tank...its a little small to only use this tank but i run local anyways so i hope it works out.

    In all the trucks I've owned or been around, the smaller fitting is always the return.

    Check wires going to eco or eco plug could be getting bad.

    i swapped that new tank in on the driver side...plugged up the passenger side tank (the one i was using)..and haven't had a problem since. im guessing it had to be the pickup tubes

    That's a dirty bugger to find since you can't really see it or inspect it. Only give away for a bad pick up tube is when the fuel problems only happen at certain levels in the tank(s).

    yup thats how i found it. it would do it every time it dropped around a quarter tank
