Well they are firing Canada fleet drivers who refuse loads out of their new account in HOPE B.C. . Some of the drivers thought they would be hauling IKEA or paper loads only when they signed on. Now I guess they got them chaining up to pickup water loads out of Hope. I guess some don't like it, and they have had them DH back to Seattle and clean out there trucks.
If someone tells me I have to do something that I don't want to do, or get fired, then I consider it to be forced.

Well they may have "thought" they would only haul for one or two custermers. But they hired on to run in that area. That meens ALL frieght in that area. Now if they where told to haul loads out of that area or be fired. That would be forced. But told to haul frieght in an area the agreed to haul it. That's part of the job. Sounds to me like they just don't want to run in the snow. Who cares what they put in the back. You get paid for the tires turning. Not whats in the back.

####, what's with the red text?

Nobody should be forced to do anything at 30 sump'n cents a mile. They should just say Thank you!!!

I stopped in at the Fontana terminal a few years ago and saw a sign on the wall - Something like "You are not allowed to make a U-Turn; If you do you will be terminated". Is this true?:smt120

Yes.
Along with sleeping along side the road. -
Yes, and as was said. No parking on ramps and ANY backing accident IS you fault = fired. I don't have a problem with this. I agree with them they are unsafe moves. Should clearafie that when they say "u turn" they meen in the middle of the road. If you do it in a parking lot. Thats fine.
To answer the ? about the red text. I think it looks COOL.

And it gets noticed.

The saftey man told us. "If you are caught making a u-turn we will be terminated. If you are caught on the side of any highway you will be terminated."..... now I wasn't trying to put him on a spot but I was thinkun of some situations I was in when I made u-turn. I told him the last time I made a u-turn was when I came upon a low overpass. I asked him what happens if we get in a situation where its questionable with the 14' trailers we pull sometimes. He said he could make an exeption in that case, but before we do a flip pull over and call him. I asked, "do we pull over on the side of the road?" He changed the subject.......
These pencil pushers need take care of the paperwork and the important rules and leave the driving to the drivers. I would hope most of us have enough common sense to know where and when to do a flip.Baack Thanks this.
