Well, when the technology improves to feasibly work with shale oil, then we might be formidable competition to the middle east.
However, if you want to push for 100% USA then you're going to be excluding a heck of a lot of Canadian black gold. We've got offshore oil (and plenty of it) off the east coast. Shale oil/gas through the St. Lawrence lowlands of Quebec. We've got plenty of conventional as well as oilsands formations through Saskatchewan, Alberta, and BC. We've even got a large piece of the Bakken shale formation in Saskatchewan.
The last time I was on Hibernia...that one platform alone was drawing 220,000 barrels of oil per day out of the ground. That's not even including the other dozen or so offshore platforms working in the neighboring fields.
To also include the numbers from BC, Alberta, Sask, would be staggering. -
had an 84, it was different, good, but different

Some of the most American made passenger vehicles are.....in fact....Toyota. Go figure. The domestics aren't even close to domestic anymore. Of course the money goes to the stockholders anyhow now and they are everywhere.

I think a 12v Cummins,a FASS & manual trans is a great setup, MUCH better than these new overpriced, unreliable and overly complicated pickups they try to sell now..

I noticed that the wiring harness on my Pete is made in... MEXICO!
