    And I am just the opposite. I had 2 RM devices and they where both JUNK right out of the box.Never have had an issue with my Garmin.

    You can get traffic, but it will be much more accurate if you pair it with the phone. You are getting it off the satellite, not cell towers.

    It wasn't so bad from the box. Just very old map. I know some roads were open 20 - 15 years ago but not in Garmin base. After update GPS start going crazy. Probably Garmin wants me to buy new unit.

    Have been using Copilot for the last 2.5 years. They still have the full lifetime $150 option. Good thing about it, is that you can redownload it again if your hardware goes bad.
    It does not have all the bells and whistles of others though

    Think I’ll pickup a garmin myself, third rand I’ve had the battery go bad in and constantly locking up

    The new ones are shipping soon. The 780 is $399 and the 785 is $499. Both are Wi-Fi. The 785 has front Collison avoidance and lane departure warnings.
