They must have changed procedures there because I was a little worried about that too. Instead, they had inbound parking in a small dirt lot on Central Ave, not Central Pkwy. Then drop the trailer, bobtail to Findlay to wait as the yard dog took your trailer to load/unload. I was loaded with packaging material. About 2 hours later got a phone call that my empty trailer was back on the dirt lot, bills in the back of the trailer. Sweet set up actually though that dirt lot was pretty tight. Yard dog driver pretty cool guy too.

Here come the "smart" cars. Anyone take a look at the Nissan Leaf? Man oh man. All kinds of safety crap on it. Looks like we're moving another step closer to self driving vehicles. Makes me cringe

I was there Tuesday night also. I rolled in about 11:00 PM and parked all the way on the end down near the training yard. I also noticed that the holes were filled in. A guy I went to school with got stuck in the mud holes last week and they had to call a wrecker to pull him out. He was definitely upset. Someone actually told him that might go against him as a preventable and he flipped out. I don't blame him.Farmer54 and Steelersjunkie Thank this.

You know my feelings about Georgia. And I live there. Did you get your truck today out of the shop? Ive been wondering how things were going. I should have known since you were down close to my house. LolSteelersjunkie Thanks this.

Anyone at the Loves in Roscoe, Illinois tonight?
-
Nope. My dad did. He just went through orientation today at Landstar. Since he was close, he grabbed my truck and took it to the inspection site. It's getting inspected first thing in the morning. The guys there are going to get it to the orientation center. Talk about killer service. She'll be there for me on Monday morning when I go to my orientation class.Waterboy334 and Farmer54 Thank this.

I was at Trenton a couple years ago and saw a truck get stuck in the terminal yard. Shop used another Millis truck of some sort that was there to pull him out. Not a regular road rig, can't remember exactly what it was. Some kind of yard truck.
That is one negative thing about Millis. Quite a few of their yards are mud pits which always ticked me off. And Cartersville is a dust bowl when it's dry there. I would try to limit my idling but many times I had to because I could not keep my windows open because of the dust. Throw a few dump trucks of gravel down at least. It can't cost that much money.BazookaJoe and Steelersjunkie Thank this.
