Nope. My dad did. He just went through orientation today at Landstar. Since he was close, he grabbed my truck and took it to the inspection site. It's getting inspected first thing in the morning. The guys there are going to get it to the orientation center. Talk about killer service. She'll be there for me on Monday morning when I go to my orientation class.

I was at Trenton a couple years ago and saw a truck get stuck in the terminal yard. Shop used another Millis truck of some sort that was there to pull him out. Not a regular road rig, can't remember exactly what it was. Some kind of yard truck.

That is one negative thing about Millis. Quite a few of their yards are mud pits which always ticked me off. And Cartersville is a dust bowl when it's dry there. I would try to limit my idling but many times I had to because I could not keep my windows open because of the dust. Throw a few dump trucks of gravel down at least. It can't cost that much money.

Man I agree with you totally. And every time I clean the inside of my truck I go to Cartersville and get mud all on the inside.

I was there Tuesday night also. I rolled in about 11:00 PM and parked all the way on the end down near the training yard. I also noticed that the holes were filled in. A guy I went to school with got stuck in the mud holes last week and they had to call a wrecker to pull him out. He was definitely upset. Someone actually told him that might go against him as a preventable and he flipped out. I don't blame him.

If he gets a preventable for that, it would be unforgivable. That's not right at all. I truly hope that isn't the case.

I hope so too. How can somebody get a preventable when its their lot that is in bad shape. I would think that they have more sense then that.

I will once again state my love and appreciation for Millis. But some of those yards are just awful.

I definitely agree. I also appreciate Millis tremendously. But I have often wondered why all of the yards are dirt. Im sure that they make enough money to pave them. I would think they would save a lot of wear and tear on their trucks by having them drive on pavement rather than in dirt and potholes.

Lol dad just called. He just got done driving my truck and wants to trade He said it's fast. Had it at 75 in 9th gear and smooth as silk. Can't wait to get my hands on that thing. Getting dropped off on Sunday afternoon. Pics will be coming then

Sometimes it depends on local codes. If paving the lot would cause too much water run-off, local government won't allow it. It's an EPA issue.

Pretty sure they were forced to pave the West Allis drop lot a few years ago because of the neighborhood complaining about dust. Ever call up directions to the place? It is referred to as gravel lot or something like that.
