    ODFL linehaul does not work the dock. Most P&D drivers do not work the dock either (P&D might occasionally do dock work if it's a really small terminal).

    Sounds like XPO didn't stray too far away from how Conway Freight handled dock work with their drivers.

    Might not necessarily be a bad idea for them to load their own trucks. At least then it would be done right.

    Bottom men are all dockworkers at Fedex Freight. If it slows down, bottom men sit at home. Been there, done that.

    No I left had a very bad experience there. They just fired my buddy he had 16 years in. He went to a dock and told a joke to a girl he was frIends with for over 20 years. Someone else overheard it and called Fedex on him. They terminated him when he got back to the yard.

    It's only a good job because Fedex fears the unions. Otherwise, it would be worse than Ground.
