I don't know if it's before or after taxes. As the saying goes; "One man's trash, is another man's treasure."
I started my career at .0850 cpm because that's what I had to do at the time. Didn't like it, but kept everything in perspective that, that was just the first step to where I really wanted to be.
If I had listened to all the negative and naysayers that gave me their lousy advice, I'd have ended up punching a time clock somewhere instead of spending a career traveling and seeing the country, plus making a good living.
Just get the career started somewhere and in 12 months 100's of doors will open because you'll have experience.

So I talked to a recruiter from Roehl today and it sounded good up until he told me they don't pay for your transportation to the school you have to find your own. He told me the school is in Appleton, Wisconsin and I'm in Massachusetts. That's almost a 19 hour drive if I drove there myself and would cost almost $100 in gas. It kind of sucks because the school was sounding decent up until that. I'm still not sure which one I'm going to pick. Stevens pays for your transportation out there.

Heard It Here First ... Expect to be treated as a Prisoner at Stevens . I don't want you to come back later and say NOBODY WARNED ME !

I'm probably going with Roehl. I have to get my own transportation there but then again they pay for my dot card and stevens doesn't. Plus Roehl pays you $500 a week during training. I think that's a pretty good deal.

Plus I heard they have a good training school just as good as Stevens

redsox508 Thanks this. -
how are they on work history i got paid cash would that be a problem
-
That would be a problem unless you reported it. I was self employed for 20 years so I just turned in my 1040s to show I was busy along with references of clients. If you were unemployed for a time turn in docs for state unemployment. If you were traveling out of country show stamped dates in your passport. They need to know who you are, where you've been and can you be trusted. Make something up and they find out you lied and you're not invited.

Roehl is nothing to brag about.

Lmao sounds like someone fd something up and got canned, and its somehow Millis fault. And it must've been a good f up too cuz I know guys at Millis who've bent cab extenders, ripped trailer doors off, got overweight tickets, etc and none of them were canned. So you must've done something really fn stupid lmao
