ok new rule.......(s)
Who cares what your pulling (trailer)
Which truck would u rather drive if they are both clean and u had a choice
Come on guys and gals weigh in -
No comment on trailer type.If I were to buy a new truck it would be a KW T600 with a 600 Cat and 13 speed trans. 370 differential gears. Just my personal opinion.

volvo would be lighter.and in the dump world the lighter the truck the more money you will make..also check the wheel base as you must be long enough for the bridge laws in the areas you will run.both inner and outer length between wheels.trailer tandem to tractor tandem.and trailer tandem to center of steer axle. thats your inner and outer bridge.good luck with your choice of trailer.things are dead out there. The volvo is an old walmart truck out of Texas

I can go enddump or hopper

Go for the weight, that is how you will make your money. That IS why we are out here is't it? To make MONEY?

I am going to yard now
I will post tar weights on each tractor shortly
I just live 8 miles away -
Hell, find a driver for the other truck and use em both! Then take your pick. More money, that is if the there is enough product available to keep two trucks running.
If you only have one trailer, get another one. If you are in the right area you could probably rent one from one of the locals if you do some maint on it. You might be able to get one for nothing if you say, do a brake job to use it for a few months. What the hell, get creative!
Need a driver? Look down the street for a farmer, or a couple of farmers, slip seat em and make some money! What the hell are they doing right now, drinking beer? And their wives would probably pay you to get them out of their hair!
Just my .02
Mike -
I may not know much about trucking, and I don't, I hate to drive, even for more beer! But making money, you do what you got to do. It is now time to get creative!
