ive seen these dumb ### load brokers trying to say that tractor only in the city for $27dollars an hour .they need there kahunas removed and made to eat them .this is why i wont haul there sht.they have no idea how much anything costs .ok so they know how much a basement appartment costs and loadlink and internet .i think you can get a hard hat a safty vest and pair of work boots for 27 an hour but not a truck expences and a driver .heres the problem with the trucking industry f in load brokers[##### clowns] hoseing guys.LOAD PAYS $1,200.and there tryin to get it hauled for $300. and costs $250. in fuel can you say ch robinson can you say ##### clowns things that make you go hmmm

 

I was speaking to CH Robinson a while ago. From calgary - Vancouver was paying $950 and $1750 Van - Calgary. So $2700 round trip. It is not great but doable at moment.

 

What does Straight truck/reefer pay per mile?

 

I’m considering buying a straight reefer unit. What are the going rates?

 

2.30 for the past 4years east coast till it gets cold then Florida. with my own reefer and authority
3.50 last three months runninr Toronto to NYC, Philly. mind you this is all the miles. yard to yard

I’ve never done the per mile jobs before I’m and oil patch guy all hauls by the hr or by then Ton. I have a buddy of mine contracted to me he used to haul heavy equipment on hiway. So he figured out what we make per mile is anywhere 5-10 bucks a mile. That’s at our cheapeast hourly rate. We rarely haul both ways loaded mostly north Alberta an Northen BC. Quite a bit of ### time truck shut off waiting to load or unload etc.
This is super b flat deck trailer jobs. Fuel bill has never been over 8000 a month per truck and make 40-63,000 depends how hatr u work. That 20-30 days a month.
We travel about 500 kms a day average.
