Thanks for the advice, good stuff. I've learned a lot already from browsing these forums.
1. Make sure you have flip flops
2. Don't get talked into leasing through the company.
3. Be safe, and don't be afraid to say no.
4. Logs are complicated.
Thats what i got so far. Thanks for all the help

Now's not a good time to have that kind of payment hanging over your head. There are some reasonable deals out there, but you have to approach it as a small business decision, and as a means to a goal. If you haven't written a business plan and incorporated the lease terms into it, you're insane to even think about it. After doing that, if the numbers look good, then lease. Make sure you get a copy of the lease before signing it, and have a business attorney look it over.
Actually, they're not all that complicated... you just have to know the rules. Don't get overawed by the subject, and don't get taken in by the companies that do "electronic logging." Some folks like it, I don't. The paper logbook is your friend.Wiseguywireless Thanks this. -
One thing that I got lucky with is I never had to drive with a Trainer, I took the driving test needed(200 mile test with parking, backing drop and hooks, etc.), passed and been on my own ever since. But my tester had his crying baby in the truck! I guess he wanted to see how good my nerves were. LOL
I don't have any war stories about trainers..... LOL
