Speaking of which. Right after I posted the above info my wife walked in and gave me the mail. My Dac report was in it.

Hi, Jasin,
I understand your concern, but companies are out here to make money; when you start costing them, expect to get the boot.
Even more than that, I'd ask you this question:
Based on what you have shared, would you hire yourself? I mean, we're talking three accidents in four months. That's one every month.
I know that there's a learning curve, but with that 53' box behind you, you will be sitting 70-75 feet in length and driving a rig that costs $100K, not to mention the commodity on board.
My opinion is that you're pretty much finished for now concerning OTR. If I were a company recruiter, IF you got a job, you'd go right back out with a trainer, no questions asked. More than likely, I'd tell you to have a nice day and that we don't have a place here for you.
You probably won't be finished with local positions that may be available, but companies want to know that you aren't going to cost them like you did at KLLM. If you get hired, expect them to watch you VERY closely.
And for Heaven's sake, be honest when you go out on your job search. If any company finds out that you are lying, forget getting a job with them. They won't even tell you why and they don't have to. Right now, I believe that it's a company driven season with little freight and so many people wanting to get their break into trucking. Companies are keeping good drivers who want to make money and get their freight delivered safely, and they aren't hiring as readily as they did. I know that's true where I work.
I'm doing everything in my power to maintain good miles and get freight picked up and delivered on time and safely. Right now, I'm eligible for my two year safe driving award since I've been back with my old company. Based on that, my job should be fairly secure. Again, nothing is absolutely guaranteed, but I'm busting my backside to do what I can to do a great job.
Look at the question I put up top again: would you hire you if you were a recruiter or company president? Look at things from their perspective and then decide that you want to make a serious change about your driving skills. Perhaps one of the best things that you can do right now is to look at straight trucks, like I saw on a previous post.
You have your Class A but there's no reason to let it go to waste. But you must cover your backside and simply stop having collisions! You can't afford it and companies don't want to keep paying for your messups.
Perhaps this isn't what you wanted to read, but it is written with your best interests in mind.
Thanks for reading and all the best to you.Baack and AfterShock Thank this. -
of course no one wants to hire me if they see 3 preventable accidents on me in 4 months, but maybe if they saw what i saw when those 3 preventable accidents happened, they would reconsider, the first two were minor and nothing has happened sense October, and the last wasnt even my fault, its not like i pulled out into traffic making everyone slam on breaks and hit me, no i cleared the curb, there was 3 cars in each lane and the driver on the last lane was not paying attention. But in a companies standpoint they dont see that. Like i said everything happens for a reason, and he was suppost to hit me for some reason, maybe HE wants me to get a local job.
Thanks for all the support and advice guys, i appricate it. -

That's only a month ago.
And, I assume you haven't been driving a Big truck since then.
It's hard to crash in a Big truck if y'all aren't drivin' one.
Ya reckon.

jasin18,
I guess i see things very differently then most people in this forum not to mention in this corrupt business...
I want to tell you i am sorry for your mis-fortune with these fender benders you had. That to me is the nature of the beast in trucking.Your gonna screw up.
I no for a fact that you will take crap from the (Do-Gooder) club on this topic and you will take crap from the perfect Billy Big Riggers out there who claim they are (the best trucker since Sonny Pruit)lol,lol..
But the fact of the matter is this.DON'T BEAT YOURSELF UP...I no you are kicking yourself and i no you have learned from your mistakes, just like all of us.There is no PERFECT DRIVER HERE....WE ALL SCREW UP....AND BROTHER HAVE I SCREWED UP SOME THINGS IN MY LIFE...Hell one time years back i forgot to lock my trailer tandoms in at the dock and away i went down 75.You can only imagine what happened when i locked up the trailer brakes....
DUMB ROOKIE MISTAKE..COSTED ME 3,000 FOR THAT MOVE OUT OF POCKET....TODAY I LOOK BACK AND ROLMFAO...ITS A CLASSIC STORY TO TELL MY GRAND KIDS WHEN THEY PUT ME UP IN THE NURSING HOME SOMEDAY WITH THE CRAZY PEOPLE.
My advice to you young man is keep your head held hi and keep lifting every rock there is and continue to pursue work in driving if that is what you really want..It will come at some point.Someone will hire you back on,trust me i have been there brother..It may be local dump trucking, school bus, taxi etc.etc. but its a new start to let time erase the past crap on (YOUR RECORD)....And do i no about (RECORDS)
Early on in this corrupt business i had to overcome alot to get to were i am at today..Accident,speeding tickets, grabbing big trucks and running them down the jersey pike(lol, lol),Parole, bankrupt and the list goes on and on.I am from the streets of NY and screwed my life up early on growing up with gangsters, outlaws and criminials..To mention a few...
You can keep continuing in this carrer, someone will give you a 2nd chance at some point even a 3rd chance...trust me brother i have been there....
Yes its gonna suck, you will have to work at places you hate,do things you hate, show up on time, and basically look at this as starting all over again and most of all go through the (RED TAPE BULL CRAP)...You may have to get out of trucking for a short period of time like i had to and let time take those marks away.I am not sure what your path will be,but i can tell you this much....DONT GIVE UP BEFORE THE MIRICLE.....
It has been a long hard walk from SOLITARY CONFINEMENT TO OWNING MY OWN BUSINESS....and having something that resembles a normal, peaceful, walking a straight life..SO KEEP YOUR CHIN UP AND KEEP ON KEEPIN ON BROTHER...
