Bad, I am curious, If you have not seen a truck past 285k how many trucks have you had since you started there. How does your Dad like his new Cascadia?

Howdy Bad In- I want to know if you can play that fiddle or just pose with it? What you play? Been sawing on one myself for about 30 years. Enjoy your posts. But I must admit that 80% of the Werner trucks I see in TX are total junk hauling Dollar General and the like. Of course us skateboarders deserve the good stuff. lol Happy New Year!

Good thread...
It's nice to hear something good about this company... -
Great to see someone is happy with Werner. As you know, there are more negatives than positives when it comes to trucking companies. No matter who it is. Yes, Werner is self insured as are most of the large companies. I know that there has to be some junkie equipment out there but I haven't seen much of it and I do look at trucks. Springfield is a dump as far as the drivers areas but I blame that on the manager of the facility not the company. I know for a fact, having been on a tour of the facility that the other buildings are clean and neat, as much as they can be for a working facility. As for getting miles, a lot of drivers aren't getting the miles that they had been getting. This is due to our extremely weak economy. Not the trucking company. If the consumer isn't buying product the shippers isn't shipping. Makes sense to me. Werner isn't my first choice when I get out of school but it's right up in the top five.

Badinfluence,
Thanks for your post.
Been walking the floors trying to decide if Warner is the way to go. I have a minor reason for picking Werner, but I am feeling better about the decision I'm about to make.
The driving school I may sign up with has informed me about the Regional Manager visiting the school tomorrow. The admin lady gave me a time in which to come by and talk with the RM.
Like you, I hate to stand and do nothing and believe in doing my best for the employer. Depending on the outcome of my conversation with the RM, Werner may be home. -

Is Werner Phoenix still taking on trainees?
