I do not over night at truck stops but do stop at the rest areas. I am 60+ feet long so I have to go to to the truck side. Never stop very long and try to stay out of the truckers way.

I drive a Ford F650 pulling a 38 foot 5th whl. RV. I use the big rig side for fuel fill as I have dual tanks and most rv pumps are on one side or are to close to building to get back out. I fill fast and move out of the way when done, and sent my other half in to wait to pay as most truck stops I have been in dont trust us rv'ers. Would not think of parking overnite at truck stop, always use campground. I do however park at rest stops in the truck side as that is what the sign says when you pull in, trucks and trailers or cars and trailers here. Now I do agree the small 4 wheelers with trailers, should go to the car side but I think some of them also just follow instructions and go to truck side. I dont drive semi full time I do drive firetrucks so I am used to driving 40 foot, 45,000# trucks. Will always try to be courteous to all truckers on the road, hope to get the same

I have a MCI motorcoach for an RV. I also drive for a living. It never bothered me one bit.

Well as a pro Trk Dvr and an Active RVer it works both ways,,If an RV can hold his/her lane & keep a steady speed,Be courteous to other vehicles and of course very important Use the Turn Sig's when turning and what not.I have no trouble with sharing roads or parking areas with eith RV or trucks. Now occasionally you will get the renegade truck driver that wants to perform a Fly By in the hammerlane doing in excess of 80 while passing an RV,,whether it is a pickup pulling a Fith Wheel or a Diesel Pusher Pulling the family sedan on a tow dolly can be very dangerous for all concerned.I myself have been blown off the highway because some arsehole could not ease out of it enough so i could maintain my lane while he or she passed me in that big trk,,Now being on both sides of the fence and as a professional truck driver i will always ease out of it just a little and keep far left as possible when passing RV'S,,I have had many a white knuckles trying to keep my RV straight and on track while that big truck Pushes the air into me then Vacuums it back out on a high speed pass,,This just shows the new breed of truck drivers that are too stupid to to be in posession of a CDL,,and who are not ready to be a Professional Driver.
AfterShock and rescue7 Thank this.
