Had an all out altercation on the phone this morning with LOVES customer care . We got tossed out of the LOVES in TX on I45 at midnight because we parked not in a -legal- spot . But we did park in a place that no one was blocked ... nothing was being hidden .
Through out the conversation I was told it was my fault , and that I am a bad driver for getting there late and not having parking . I was also informed that I could have gone down the road at 5mph so I wouldn’t trip the ELD .
I was also told that my necessity to have a bathroom was not in their primary care . The manager there with his shiny name tag acts like the sheriff tossing people out not giving a #### that there are 2 bobtails in full parking spots, but he wouldn’t dare say sqat to them . When I asked why the bobtails couldn’t park up front , it’s because it’s an eyesore to the image of the “truck stop” . For real ? This is what these Aholes think of us ... eyesores ?
I wonder if the drivers of this country will ever say enough is enough ? My feelings are that will never happen .

Looking at things from the manager's side - how would YOU behave if you had to deal with truck drivers all day?

That being said, Love's has been peppering me with unsolicited phone calls trying to sell me their factoring and fuel programs. I'm not happy about that.

Should have just handed back your loyalty card and said "here. I won't be needing this anymore."

It is a crappy move by the truck stop, but not illegal. All you can do is take your business elsewhere. Maybe park there again (in legal spot) but never spend a dime. What else ya gonna do?

I prefer to take my business where it is appreciated. So I don't spend much time or money at any of the large chains.

A prime example of just how unimportant the drivers are to the travel plaza's these days. It boggles the mind at they want your money, purchase their items, fuel, and so forth, but after receiving your money. Get out, so we may get the next idiots money.

Tell them if Loves wasn't so GD cheap they could have bought more land so they could have more parking spots.

I refuse to use in any Loves, or Pilot, or small travel, plaza for anything, especially for parking. These travel plazas are high priced on products, have lost the true definition of why they are there, and those in the industry who have made them who they are. DRIVERS, were the backbone of the truck stop industry. Over time the greed of the head honchos in corporate decided to expand to every recreational reptiles, 4 wheeler, and joe smo traveler was invited in.
