Ultra shift issues

Get a manual trans that'll fix it.

 

You likely had a fault logged. Was the shifter flashing service? Moving the truck managed the fault to go away. It will occur again most likely. Time to get it into the shop and see what's the matter. To think it will get better on it's own is wishful thinking. Anything less would be purely a guess.

For starters have the batteries and connections serviced and up to par. Autos are heavily dependent on good clean electrical power supply. Bad connections and low voltage will cause issues.

 

The CA on the shifter means a "clutch abuse"or slip has occured. Again we are just guessing without getting hooked up and seeing faults logged.

 

I'll admit, I know next to jack #### about AMT's but the fact that jacking up a wheel got the truck into neutral makes me wonder if it was jammed up under torque? If the clutch isn't fully releasing, thus relieving the torque on the transmission, maybe that's the issue as to why it won't shift back in to neutral?

 

Usually if it gets turned off while in gear the truck will not start until the drive line is turned slightly so it can shift into neutral. Sometimes dropping the bags rolls the truck enough to get it to find neutral. Since it was at a dock Im assuming the truck was backed in and keyed off without shifting into neutral.
If the incline sensor is calibrated incorrectly it can cause shifting issues but nothing with slow speed maneuverability.
If you are slow backing in soft ground the clutch may be slipping too much cause the CA to come up.

 

CA is clutch abuse this happens when you back up and pull for Words frequently generally I drove one of those transmissions for 5 years don't listen to other people they are what they are it is good to make sure your batteries are always in good condition though as all computers need good voltage as stated before you must have just gotten it in a very bad Bond maybe if you had unconnected the cables and left them for more than 20 minutes the fault would probably have cleared
