If if I had to guess I’d say closed

 

Heat the iron skillet up until the olive oil smokes when you pour it on there. Cook it for about 6-8 minutes per side, covered. I like my steak medium to medium well. The reason it doesn’t burn and leave it raw is the steak is in constant contact with an even temperature instead of a flame and it sears the outside and instantly seals in the juices. If you cook a steak til it’s dry on a flat iron, you fell asleep.

I was joking. Just ask them where they get there $5000 per sheet steel from.

 

You're not really saving any time going that way. Yeah you save a few miles, 14 or 16 I think, but as crowded as Ft Collins is anymore you're usually money ahead to run up 25 to I-80 and across.

 

I love me a good cast iron steak, my wife only uses cast iron.

Yeah, kinda figured even with going through Ft Collins at 0300 I’ll hit a red light or two. Regardless I’ll probably go that way knowing me... I gotta fill the tanks at Laramie anyway before shooting across to Rock Springs.

 

That time of day it probably won't matter then. Watch out for critters.
