I made a post already about Stevens transport vs. Roehl. I think I might have caught a break though. I called Schneider just for the heck of it and asked if they provide paid cdl training for someone that doesn't have a cdl license. They said yes and what they do is send me to a local school in my home state and pay for the whole tuition but in return I have to work for them for 1 year. In my opinion this is a lot better than me having to drive my own car out to Wisconsin for Roehl or even further out to Colorado for Stevens transport. I'm almost positive they're going to send me to NETTTS in Pawtucket Rhode island since I'm in Massachusetts and plus I've been to NETTTS before to talk about their school and one of the companies that goes there to try and recruit you after you finish school was Schneider. I think this is my best opportunity only because I'll only have to drive about 45 mins for school training.

that is a no brainer Schneider is a decent company ..... roehl is fair ... Stevens would be a learning experience more like hitting your thumb with a hammer. ..... but they will lease you a truck

it has been they reimburse you for your school after a year ... but with the driver shortage that may have changed so it would be worth calling recruiting to find out . the problem with the company schools is they are all about the same it's mostly to take advantage of your inexperience so your going to be screwed your first year no matter where you go but if you keep a clean record you can make good money. if you live close to a terminal ffe has a good school and it's a decent job on the ltl side . Dutch maid from Willard ohio is a smaller company that sends you out with a driver trainer if you get your temps on your own . I kinda did it that way and I think it's better some ways than a school (was in 79 lol ). maybe kllm would be the best of the worst of the starter companies

sounds like a plan ... Schneider is a place you can stay still decent for a large company
