I am thinking about going with Schneider for my first driving job, but I'd like to get some more info about some of the positions they have posted in my area. I already asked a recruiter, but I figured I'd ask here as well just in case...

These two positions are the most appealing to me, since they offer daily home time and appear to pay well (hard to say without knowing the actual pay structure):

Dedicated Truck Driver | Up to $5,000 Sign-on Bonus | Home Daily | Chesterfield, MO

Dedicated Truck Driver | Up to $5,000 Sign-on Bonus | Home Daily | Hazelwood, MO

Does anyone know which dedicated account the second link is for? The recruiter said they are both Home Depot, but I don't see why they would have different top pay ranges, and why only one of them mentions "the world's largest home improvement specialty retailer," while the other mentions multi-stop freight.

Also, is it likely that these are driver unload accounts (similar to dollar store accounts)? Both ads mention "unloading freight."

Edit: Also, what would I be doing on a Home Depot account that is home daily in the St. Louis area? As far as I know, we don't have one of their DCs around here, and there's only about a dozen stores in the area.

home depot contracts with trucking companies to do their flat bed supply deliveries to job sites. thats one reason for pay differences

They may both be home depot - one flatbed with a mofit and one final mile van.

I don't believe either of those are final mile, since there is another job posting that describes exactly that.

If they're both HD and home daily, it's final mile type work. One of them could be pallets.
