Lol. Pay attention Al. That was for just 94 hrs over two weeks. Slept in my own bed every night and two days off each of those weeks. The first week was orientation and spent most of that out on a lot practicing backing. Some sorry ### companies don't pay anything for orientation... I got about $25/hr. I made about 65k my first year.
Not sure what the wife comment was about.... that was kinda dumb, Al.

Depends on what career path you are leaving and what your attitude towards hard work and day-length is.

Also another factor is how new are you? If you stay at my company for a full year your pay goes up significantly. Plus a week paid vacation. After 2 years it’s even better. Etc.
Maj. Jackhole Thanks this. -
If you're not afraid of hard work, go to the food service side. Like McLane or Food Services of America. I started at 55k at McLane in Colorado.

All company drivers will loose Per Diem $63 deduction this year... Have fun at the tax time

Find a specialized niche that you can excel at. Those specialized niches can be hard work or easy peasy. Reading past posts of yours I think food service will pay you better and still have home time.
