Only a few hundred bucks to get an over head done, that would be the first step.
Could be wrong but I thought a series 60 should have it done every 250,000 miles
mpg

That's about what I read. every quarter million. Was not able to get history on my truck so I have no idea when it was last done. Is that price at dealership or independent
-
You should get better than that.
Check fuel & air filters to make sure they are not plugged up, also check your CAC for leaks.uncleal13 Thanks this. -

Howdy Glenn,
My 12.7 being used as your truck is has averaged 7.7 over the four years I have been using it to tow my large RV trailer. It's just my opinion but I take the talk of those getting over 8 and quite a few claiming 9mpg when used in our application with a large grain of salt.

Well, I would like to get 7 or better towing.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
@Glenn, did you ever manage to improve the MPG? If so, what did you do?
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
No, It still around 7. Had all filters changed. Have not had overhead done though.
