That's unfortunate. Once the health goes, the rest doesn't count for squat. Hopefully you are doing what you can to mitigate that. I'm a firm believer in diet & exercise, goes a long way. Pray is a necessity as well.

Well, another day of hometime shot. They've been scrubbing on the truck for going on 1-1/2 hours now. And had to wait like 20 minutes to get in the washbay.
And had to drive down here, another 20 minutes.
And had to drive over to the terminal, another 10 minutes.

All this should be done on company time not hometime.

Still have drive ALL the way back.

Then have to do laundry. More time shot. Another day of hometime shot.

Still need go and get some road supplies too. Wal Mart is like, well even at 52 I could probably get a baseball in their parking lot from the house, but another item that could be taken care of on the road, not on hometime

    So unfair.

    Walmart!
Why don’t you pay more and support your local merchants?

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

I buy like 90% at Safeway and Frys, but junk food, water, ice tea, cat supplies, all cheaper at Walmart.

Honestly there are not that many local retail outlets anymore. I was thinking as I read that. The days of the mom and pops are just about gone. Wal-Mart is starting to feel the heat from the real backyard bully. AMAZON!!!!

    Casper is finished. Looks great.

All this is company stuff. What me?

I mean the cats are having EPIC hometime.

    What do I get?

    Just SO unfair.

Will you leave the cats at home since you’re coming right back home?
I don’t think I could own a cat and strain the crap out of the box

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Yes cats will stay. The most traumatic part is the cat carriers. Baby is no problem. Don't even need the carrier. Mincy......I'd look like I moved Freddy Krueger. Once she's out of the carrier, no problamo.

Dude. Clumping Kat litter. You really must leave the 80s behind. I have like a $20 scooper. It's a snap.

So I've concluded that hometime is basically used to get as prepared as possible to go back out on the road.

Even though all of these things, except yard work, could be done, and have been done while on the road.

Then a person could sit unbathed in their underwear and play computer games, and watch all The Walking Dead shows, and just get pizza delivered for 4 or 5 days.

Go to casino, and make thousands.

Instead of wasting a thousand getting ready to come off hometime.

I mean what's next on the next hometime? Probably go the dentist or something. I mean from what I've seen amongst my peers, teeth aren't really that important anyway, a quality hometime is all that really matters.
