Well the new series is similar in some ways, and very different in most others.
It is not a remake of the original or like the movie did it, it is a new concept for where it could/might go.

I'm aware of, it's on the list. I'm not optimistic.

It is really amazing that some people can not give something a chance.
Not sure what people were expecting, but I find it it an enjoyable show.

The basic concepts were kept intact, but the whole story line is altered. And I think the writers have done a pretty good job so far.

It is probably better than the newest reboot of Star Trek movies, and I won't even comment on the newest Star Trek series.

I loathe the star trek film remakes.

As for the Discovery, they had the workings for a real good series. In my opinion they rushed through the story too quick. Didn't emphasise enough certain plot points. Blah blah .I can think of more. But it could have potentially been alot better. I came to peace with the fact that they were trying to set it apart.

As for lost in space,,, I'll form my opinion when I get to it. I wasn't as attached to the original as everyone else was. But frankly it's rare I'm excited about a new series or remake. I'm often pleasantly surprised.

Heck I was so apathetic to the new star trek series I didn't get to it till the season ended. And I'm a fairly hardcore trekie. Go Sisko!!!! 8fac3ff5306f57274c9e5bdeb05f9a87.jpg

I watched a few episodes of Lost in Space on Netcraps. I realized there was nothing they had that was worth the time so I dumped Netflix. About the same time I decided to cut the cable at home since Directv was the only option where I live and satellite tv straight up sucks.

I signed up for a trial of Directv Now and I'm really happy with it. I don't watch much tv and I don't want to pay for a zillion channels that I never watch so I got a basic plan with HBO. I have an unlimited data plan on my phone so no more wasted hotspot at truck stops with wifi range as far from the building as I can spit.

I also treated myself to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 tablet and added it to my cell plan. Outstanding! I'm as teched out as I want to be. At least for the next year or so...

I just added that show lost in space to my watch list last night finding the trailer interesting.

Hey guys who might remember me, it's been a very long time since I posted. I ended up quitting swift last February and went to be a kitchen supervisor at a prison. That didnt work out the greatest in the end but I didnt want to go back to driving. I ended up moving to Oregon a few months ago after falling in love with the state when I was otr.

These days I'm a stay at home father since my wife wanted to work but decided I'm going to try and find something at least at night. Sitting at home gets tiring after awhile. Just not sure what I will do yet since scheduling will be a major factor. How is everyone else these days? I see a few old names still around.
