I have never understood the term "Deregulation". We are extremely regulated now. I would hate to see what it was like before "Deregulation".

Rates were regulated. And operating authority was for specific lanes and commodities. In order to be granted authority you had to prove the market needed your service,

No we are not as regulated as we were, we were regulated up our ****es with carrier regulations. We didn't have the freedoms we have now but we have to play the stupid games because of what we've become.

What we have right now is a mess, no sense to any of it, and no need for much of it.

But you keep trucking because the money is so great and you couldn’t make anything near like you do trucking .
So buck up, pretend you’re a man and carry on.

I like driving a truck, where else can I fiddle with my crotch while looking at all the fields and trying to see every chicken hawk and bald eagle while listening to Sirius radio and thinking about stupid nonsense and making pretty decent money too?

    That's pretty much me.

I've made it to the point where I can do pretty much what I want,... when I want,... how I want.

Nothing comes with out a little bit of struggle, stress and hard work. No risk,.. no reward.

See folks. This is the problem with trucking. You get a great gig lined up and some jerk in a columbia that's to #### cheap to even paint the hood a matching color comes along and under cuts you.

Hurst, Roberts450 and tucker Thank this.
