Garner Transportation screws honest logging drivers. I have always kept legal logs and it came to bite me in the butt working for this company. I made mistakes on my driver's logs when it came to split logging. Split logging can be very confusing and can lead to lead to logging errors. Errors that Garner Transportation did not tolerate even though they provided no training. The dispatchers put drivers on loads which required split logging if you wanted to make deliveries on time. Many companies don't allow split logging, probably because it is easy to make mistakes. I also made two to three errors in entering 9.75 hours break instead of a 10 hour break. Purely an honest mistake. I once worked for a company that would allow us to correct mistakes however, not falsifications. Not Garner Transportation. Shortly after being suspended for 3 days for my logging violations I was turning my truck around and accidentally bent a bat wing causing less than $600.00 worth of damage. I would have been happy to work and pay for this damage since I was responsible however, they chose to terminate me. They have placed some erroneous information on my DAC report now and nobody wants to hire me to drive again. Watch out for this Garner Transportation out of Findlay, Ohio. If you falsify and can hide things on your driver's logs, you should be just fine working for this company. I don't think they want less productive legal logging drivers.![]()

protest your dac
if it's false info get a lawyer to write them a letter (the company) to retract said false info or face a slander lawsuitx1Heavy Thanks this. -
I am working on it through DACfix. I hope that they can deliver. This company has terminated me, denied my unemployment and place damaging info on my DAC report. Would that be triple jeopardy? It's amazing, I never once endangered public safety and this company is bent on destroying my driving career. I am sure there are other companies just like them.
Thanks for your suggestions 112racing.

Rapsr,
Uhh...You 3 times falsified your logs, and damaged their truck, and yet you seem to think you're the victim?
You are captain of the ship. If you don't have the hours required to deliver the load on time. Then you are perfectly in your right to tell them so, and refuse the load. By choosing to split-log...which isn't legal...You shoot yourself in the foot. I don't claim to know all the details of your situation, but based on what you've written here, I wouldn't be surprised if your DAC report wasn't accurate, and I'm glad that no one will hire you anymore. Sounds like you shouldn't have been on the road in the first place. -
Ummm, that user hasn't been on this website in nearly seven years.

7 Years in active thread.
Frankly I'm surprised.
Just two thoughts. What is split logs? Frankly I'm thinking paper logs assigning hours in a rhythm method such as 5 driving and 5 bunk which means you can keep that up until your 70 is expired.
Any time a company bans a driver from doing something otherwise lawful... then what gives?
With that said, there are admissions to deliberate violations and possibly to the damage from a preventable accident. It is little wonder the DAC is difficult coming from Garner.
At this time I offer nothing else. This thing is 7 years gone and frankly I don't know what to think right now without shooting off my big parrot mouth and upset half the net. -
You can only go till your 14 hour clock is done.... so your 5 on/5 off will not work.
-
You re saying that the 14 hours MUST be burned?
Do you understand in my day under the old 10 hour driving rule you could go 5 and 5 until the 70 hours is done.
If you are and others are trying to teach me that today's Elogs must consume ALL hours no matter what... then I call it a injustice, a travestry becuase some work days are not going to be overflowing in hours. Do I have that right?!Vic Firth and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
X1 you're correct back in the day the 10hr rule was easy to follow just had to watch our 70

Don't know too much about Garner I did put in my app about a week later got a rejection letter in mail saying denied due to work history I guess because I've been driving 22 years no accidents 1 ticket for running stop sign I have been at my current employer for 6 years with excellent service so my guess its my age I'm 65 but it's definitely not my work history it ok that they don't hire me just don't say I have a bad work history
