Just did my taxes. I worked 217 days last year. So although I get home every day I had 148 days off and still carried over a week of holidays...I better slow down my pace:D

This one was the oldest F-14A in active service at the time. Intelligent, good looking guy took care of it. Even had his name on it.

Have you ever been to Gettysburg? I think I'd gone down as traitor or a hero for The South, cause I'd have shot General Lee when he insisted on Pickett's Charge.
If you've ever stood at that spot, and walked up that battlefield, I mean it just doesn't take a real genius to know that was mass suicide.

Not really. The F 14 was badazz however tbe real reason the union won was that squadron of A 10s behind it!!

True. F14 was an air superiority fighter. The Confederate Air Force wasn't started until 1957, so there was nothing to which the F14 could be superior. The A10 is better adapted to assaulting ground troops.

It was a true air superiority fighter. That's why it had the Phoenix missile system. High altitude combat was it's only role really. It's aerodynamics were not compatible for bombing ( the bombs tended to stay with the aircraft for awhile after being dropped lol ).
