Ya I know most of my experience is with tanker I’ve done cryogenic general hazmat food grade and dry bulk hauling plastic it has its pros and cons and in my experience it’s usually percentage pay or the pay is like .50 cpm loaded and .31 dh and for me it was usually feast or famine not to mention that the hauls are usually shorter doing tanker

I ran coast to coast with Schwerman and made $65K.
I'd probably go with Indian River Transport if I did that again.
Line haul jobs pay really well and home time is good; Estes Express and Old Dominion are a couple. R&L Carriers seems ok.

Ya im currently running linehaul for Dayton freight been doing that for 2years only problems with it is you go to the same places every night and you get really complacent with it to the point where you leave the terminal blink your eyes and wonder how did I get 200 miles down the road and with the hours you work you might as well be gone anyway

    Chinatown Thanks this.

Trimac Transportation is ok for coast to coast if you want hazmat tankers.
I know drivers doing line haul and it's not for me. The money is good, but I can't stand the routine.
West Side Transport is good in your area. Guaranteed minimum weekly paycheck.

Ya linehaul is getting to not be for me either but idk I know I have the experience and can go anywhere I want but I’m really just looking for a mid sized to smaller carrier with nicer equipment good miles and decent home time 2-3 weeks ain’t that bad with 3-4 days home

I read about a company, "Karr Transportation", but don't know much about it.
    Our Fleet:
    Kenworth T680
    2014 - 2018 models.
All units have APU's and double bunks.
We offer both 10 speed manual and automatic transmission.

O yea, I had the same issues with Wil-trans. Here I tend to get home 1-3 days early. They give u that time also on top of the time off u requested. If u don’t want that extra time they usually just tell me to let them know

Going back to DHT on Monday. After seeing the way some other companies do things, I really regret leaving in the first place. Really pumped to get going again.

Also, it looks like they did away with the quarterly mileage bonuses and repurposed that money by doubling up the monthly mileage bonuses, is that right?

What made you leave in the first place?

For a local job. They failed to get me the hours they told me they'd get me and put me in a disaster of a truck. Then I went to a .60 cpm company. They failed to get me the miles they told me they'd get me and put me in a disaster of a truck.
