Its my starting company so i know its not going to perfect or pay as much as others but these are the only ones that accepted me with my driving record. Please, I repeat please only mention May, Werner, or Schneider. I dont care that you make 90000 a year and you think Im choosing the wrong companies. We all know I need my 6 months of experience first, and you've been there just give me your opinion. If and only if you've worked for these before not what you heard. Thanks

I would choose Schneider because of the many options and choices that they offer drivers. Second choice would be Werner.

You gotta figure out what you want to haul first. May is strictly a reefer outfit. Werner is mostly dry van and some flat bed. Schneider is dry van, flat bed and tanker.

Reefer and Dry Van is what I want. I was also offered Dedicated for Werner the Anheuser Busch account. I heard Reefer just better miles all year round.

I did reefer for 6 months. It is a lot of pickup and deliver in within drive time, then take a 10 hour break. Then drive 30 miles to another customer and then take another 10 hour break.

The miles are more constant year round with reefer. You will be in the Northeast a lot. There were times I didnt get south of Ohio for a month. Then there were times I would just run midwest.

The reefer unit is loud and will shake you awake every 2 to 3 hours at times. I got so used to it when I took my home time I couldnt sleep because if you pull reefer and there is silence, that is bad.

I didnt mind reefer. There is more money per mile on average than dry van as it is more specialized and a lot of live load and unloads.

Btw, I started in reefers that when I went to dry van the transition was so much easier. If you start out I reccomend reefer. A lot of dry van drivers I talk to have trouble getting use to the reefer kicking on. Where as if you start with it, you do not know the difference.

In your first post on this forum, you didn't mention having a bad driving record.
    Whole different ball game now.

I started with May..they are good to start. It's probably 75%reefer 25% dry. If I had to do it over again I would start with them. Be prepared to stay out 3 to 4 weeks and drive in northwest winters..you will get great OTR experience..

Actually no there not. May Trucking does both dry and refer. I worked for May they are a better company than Schneiderfish you've been warned oh I mean Warner.
May will run you mainly 11 west, alot of denver and phoenix probably.

Great tractors they were real nice Volvos when I was there.
