Where do you live? Also, how much longer would you have to stay at Schneider to get the $1200 paid off? I would focus more on going somewhere with good accessorial pay and minimum weekly pay rather than insisting on minimum miles. Hopefully @Chinatown will chime in with some good suggestions. I work for Britton Transport out of Grand Forks, ND. They treat me well and pay/miles are good. I wish they had a minimum guaranteed pay but that said I average over $1000 weekly anyway. They require 2 years experience to go out without a trainer so if you went with them they would make you go with a trainer for a week or so mainly to make the insurance people happy. Best wishes!

Sounds like you are a solo driver governed at 63mph. (Since teams are governed at 65) Most likely running the Home Depot dedicated out of Topeka. Raises come fast. Ran it for several months bringing home 1400$ a week. It’s not a bad account at all, especially once you get the raises with that account. Guaranteed miles and easy routes.

No endorsements? Why not? Having the hazmat endorsement will give you more money for every mile you drive, not just hazmat loads. I’ve pulled three hazmat loads in the last two years, (and less then ten hazmat loads in the last eight) but received more cpm for every mile of non hazmat driven.

Most companies won’t let you carry a firearm in your truck. It’s an insurance liability not to mention a hefty ticket.

You’re never a prisoner, if you don’t like something change it. You don’t like Schneider? Leave, it’s that simple. Try out other accounts, or find another company.

Schneider did pay for my schooling. I paid $0 up front and had to sign a contract.

I paid my own way then went to Swift. Didn't like it and moved on. They paid some and I paid the rest. Don't be a snowflake. Take care of your obligations. Somebody killed it, cleaned it, sold it, cooked it and served it. YOU ate it.

Geeeeez.
1200 bucks as mentioned before, is a weeks pay. How are you so bad with money that you cant afford a weeks pay?
Is there a women involved in all of this?
Is that how you got "drafted'?

Welcome to trucking...................you hire on, get ancy after 6 months, make a move, and discover nothings changed, except the name on the door ! Same this, same that ! Your next move will be to "get off the road" . After a year back working the warehouse job, you'll again "long for the road". You'll continue this adventure thru your adult life. This is incorrect. Schneider does have a paid cdl program. I should know I went through it a little more than a year ago. What they DON'T. Have is their own SCHOOL anymore. Instead they pay for you to attend a local cdl school or community college.

To repay this cost you owe them one year of service. You must pay them back if you fail to complete the year (prorated based on how long you were there).
