I drive two 04 Internationals (7-4 7-3 share two trucks) both with about 480,000 miles. Both tractors are in good shape with Cummins ISX 435 hp engines. Older tractors like these do not get APUs installed as they are due to be traded (with the present economy who knows when). They both have bunk heaters that work well on cold nights. I have had good luck with tractor repairs at Gary and Kaukauna. I always ask how busy the shop is before I submit a maintainence request. Don't expect any repair to be done at the estimated time as there always seems to be additional things that need fixing and techs are interrupted all the time. The trailers vary from old dogs with the manual tandem pin locks to almost new. Sliding the tandems can be a nighmare or go smoothly, just the luck of the draw. I did Evo III in a Volvo with 218000 that was almost like driving a car. Tractor assignment is again just the luck of the draw.

Being a newbie has nothing to do with what truck you get buddie I went to school with got a 12000 mile freightliner yes trucks are pre wired for CB most trucks are now a days roehl isn't a bad company at all but I mean there equipment is no tmc petes. There a great starter company but if you gotta stay out here who wants a plain Jane empty Columbia I like my 480000 international way better its a lil more driver friendly but as far as apu I have the stupid icon #### but I just idle to stay warm cool or watch TV yeah Midwest regional is I think 7 out maybe 7 4 73 I'm a national driver I'm sure these regional drivers can help ya there I'm out 11 home 3 unless I stay out longer I can't complain here in the last 2 months 85% of my loads have been drop and hooks both ways like I said roehl has been good but they need to stop being cheap and get pro stars my 04 old dorchester freightliner was nice it had a fridge hell swift and us express have been trucks than roehl but anyone going to roehl there pretty good company

Yeah that's y I came here 11 for 3 is a lot better than 14 for 2 you get decent miles even being slow only thing I hated was the trainer part the first guy didn't take a bath the whole 12 days and didn't teach me #### good thing my dads been driving for 29 years but my second trainer was a good guy and my evo 3 dispatcher tried to treat me like I was a kid but I think I was only in it for 2 weeks just deliver #### really early and they will push you threw

I don't mind running a plain Freightliner. It's spec'd to work, not look pretty. The nicer the truck, the more likely the company is going to hassle you about it. Ask a TMC driver; they're inspected, told where they can and can't store securement equipment, required to wash and wax that beast....

Roehl doesn't care that I have straps under my bunk, or there's dirt on my floorboard, or road salt on my truck. I'm a flatbedder, I get dirty and my equipment gets dirty. As a driver, my only purpose out here is to keep that left door closed and my right foot down. I keep my bunk area tidy, but I'll be ###### if I will go to the lengths TMC drivers do to clean their trucks. I vacuum it when I go home, and wash it when it rains. If my truck isn't dirty, I'm not working hard enough.

These truck serve their purpose, they move freight. I'd rather Roehl uses that money for decent employee pay packages, benefits, and bonuses. Besides... I hate chrome.

Tmc drivers get paid to keep them petes looking good and Keep your foot to the floor...LOL yep at 63 But Roehl im not knocking them but i mean There not the best paying company either...I talked to TMC drivers and I have a buddie just quit roehl for tmc and makes almost double what he was making as a flatbedder at roehl...and Living on the road I dunno about you but i like a truck to be more like home....

I am a new driver, just got my CDL and live in Rochester, NY. I would like to apply for Roehl's 7 on-7off program. Does anyone out there know if I'de be eligible for that program? I don't think I live close to any of their terminals so I wasn't sure. I'm new to this driving thing. Any info would be appreciated.
