Will having visible tattoos affect employement?

Some "snowflake" was offended. Their "feelings" come first, and their job comes second.

 

Most carriers won't care, some customers might. Do what you want with your body, just understand that not everybody has to like or accept it.

 

Yep, and this happens everyday in the US. Not just in the world of trucking. I have a good friend that is a naval officer. He told me last fall that the navy ordered a sailor to cover up a tat or get it removed.

 

I know that in 30 years the number one game at nursing homes will be “guess what that tat was”

 

One of my friends has a 20something daughter. She has a big tat on the small of her back. He told her once that in 60 years that tat will be on her butt. In several years it is going to be funny watching all these tats in regard to how the skin tends to loosen up with age.

 

Ever heard of the military guy who had a tat on the front of his right hand, so it could be read by the officer he was saluting? It said F*** You....

 

Nope, and when I was in the AF my C.O. would NEVER permit this. I don't know what this sailor had but it was sexual in nature and upon orders from my friends ISIC they took action.

 

best tat I ever saw was a dude in Chicago. He was riding an adult trike like a taxi service downtown for the tourists. From the passenger seat you could see these huge tats on the back of his calves...
They were pistons with connecting rods, pumping along as he pedaled
