Man, that sounds sweet!!!!
Where I used to work we hand an old industrial truck with one of those in it. I don’t remember it sounding like that though?wore out, Shock Therapy, johndeere4020 and 8 others Thank this. -
That may have been a 3208. That’s roughly comparable to the 8.2L Detroit.stwik, Shock Therapy, johndeere4020 and 4 others Thank this.

I would beat the brakes off his ### if he done mine that way. Don't get me wrong I ain't skeert to rip one wide open, even on the first start of an inframe. But jockey sockin one around like that with the high idle screw backed out would never do for me7-UP, peterbilt_2005, shogun and 16 others Thank this.

Was on a wind project years ago with a guy that had a 3408 in an old KW cab over. They have a sound all their own, that thing could run too.

Looking at some trucks last summer not far from home. Seen a 3408 setting on the ground... started acting non interested and just asking little things about it, was hoping to bring it home believe it or not lol! Sadly he told me to look st the other side... wasn't much left, of the other side. BIG hole! Said he had a V12 Cat too, I can only imagine that under the hood.wore out, Hurricane69, Ruthless and 9 others Thank this.

That maroon and white W900 start up gives new meaning to the term Clatterpillar
I am a Cat lover but, those 3408's had a real bad rap in the marine world.
