    Couldn’t find any leaks. Does a boost leak drive up coolant temps too? Don’t forget she’ll make 26 psi and seems to have plenty of power

    That's lower than I'd run a b model. Any kind of long pull I look to be turning 1700 or better.

    Yeah I get that. I'm saying on a hill you know that's going to pull you down,I look to be in a gear that will have the motor turning 1700 or so. I'm running a e model and 1400 is as low as I will go if I'm about to top hill otherwise I grab another gear.

    So generally, if traffic conditions allow I might speed up to hit the bottom of the hill at 1700-1800 in high gear, then down shift when it falls below 1500. With 3.90’s I have the power to pull most hills in direct but on a warm day I will need to go one below direct not for power but to keep the coolant temp down.

    This is the northern Appalachians not the Rockies.....NY, PA, VT, CT
