Hey guys I'm going to attemp to do spring bushings on an airliner leaf setup. I would like to do them on the truck. Any ideas or tips from anyone who has done this? The old bushings are so worn they seem like they will fall out. Someone else told me to freeze the new bushings to get them in. Thank you aptly tips are greatly appreciated.

Here's a Gordon Robertson video that might help.
How to change leaf spring pins and bushings on a Big Truck -
Are you decent with a torch? I did mine and it took most of a day. Burn the rubber out so you can knock the pin out with a hammer then cut a slice thru the steel sleeve so you can knock it out. To put the new ones in i coated them with antisieze as a lube and beat them with a 3 lb sledge.

My buddy said he can burn them right out for me. I just didnt know about what to do for having the most space. Should I unbolt it and jack the frame up or try to push the springs down?

You have to unbolt it and jack the frame up evenly. A single jack between the frame rails at the rear will take it up nice and even. Obviously you need something to span across the frame rails for this. 3/8ths inch thick 3 inch square steel tubing will work great. And of course this means parking on solid flat concrete. Chock the front wheels so it doesn't roll away on you.
Jack just enough it gets the weight out of the spring. The spring and the hanger have to bee lined up exactly or toy will never get the new bushing pin in. -
no need jack. take off the tube and plug it. loose two bolts of air spring. push it down and remove it. I have replaced 3 firestone junk bags last week. they lasted 6 years/720k miles
Tip. don't buy oem firestone junk. Buy Continental (contitech) brand. It has better quality. I mean the rubber. -
The topic isn't air bags. Its the leaf spring bushings. Deflating the air bags will not remove pressure on the spring bushing. The reason you can remove air bags just be deflating them is because the spring is supporting the weight of the frame and cab.
