You’ll have know problem going out west, on a yeast load from Cedar Rapids, Ia now heading to Escondido, Ca now. I do the same thing 3 weeks out 4 or five days home. They are definitely flexible. If you go to Canada they have great run from nj to bc

    BlueThunderr Thanks this.

I’d like to pull tanks again. But the time between loads kills me. So many REALLY long waits to load and unload. So much time going from delivery to tank wash, waiting in line to get washed, then going to get the next load. And if you can’t get to the tank wash before they close, you’re screwed until the next day, assuming they’re open the next day. And oh by the way, you don’t get paid for the time you have to waste on these things (which often exceeds the time you spend driving). You get paid for the miles going to and from the tank wash, but the time you spend waiting, and the time you spend waiting at shippers and deliveries (waiting all day and all night to unload at juice plants is common) is not paid. I deal with none of this with a reefer. There’s a little bit of waiting at warehouses to load and unload but I’m in and out in 3-4 hours tops 90% of the time. Nothing to wash inbetween loads unless the inside of the trailer is really dirty, which is rare. Pick up, deliver, repeat, over and over and over.

No I’ve never had a problem. It’s just antiquated. If I need something on that weeks check I just call payroll.

Hell I’d quit too if that’s what’s it’s like. That’s not my experience though. There’s a few day killers I hate going to. Citrofrut in McAllen, frut smart in grandview, saputo in Decatur, Al. Ventura in Visalia to name a few. Most of the time it goes like it’s suppose to. There is some waiting. Kind of curious where you went to?
