Good evening everyone. I'm trying to find an electrical problem hoping someone had had the same issue and can help. A/C panel loses power, 12 volt plug loses power, wipers go full blast with the switch off and the engine brake light flashes. I saw a video on YouTube of the exact same thing happening to someone but it didn't show the remedy. If it sits for a day or so and I start the truck it will be fine until it runs for 10 minutes or so. Thank you in advance.

Sounds like body control module is going bad. Do you have access to service Maxx software?

Check the mega fuses at the firewall near the air cleaner.
BubbaCox Thanks this. -

i just posted something similar happening to me actually very similar , rembering now it did once in a while flash engine break light and also gave me hvac temp in display but not always but do have wiper and climate mode and temp control issues. after diaging myself im like 97 percent sure it is the body controller (read my write up 09 thougght wiggle fixed it thread) I have experience 6 years with hyundai and chrysler and mitsu as tech so tried my best without much info or no software hence only 97 percent sure lol

OK wanted to give it a bit before I replied. I started by changing the mega fuses, cleaned all the connections on that junction area on the firewall there, cleaned ask battery connections again and just kinda looked for any frayed wires or bad connections on the body controller. Seems to have cured that problem whatever I did. Ran the truck for one day that issue never returned so far. However now the truck will say "electrical fault". Transmission won't go into great. Kill it and it will not start. Batteries are brand new

Sounds like the transmission TCU is not booting up. The main power feed for that is also from the meg fuse area with a fuse holder near by. Have a look for that and check it.

10/4 where is that transmission tcu located at just to check the connections as well. Would that cause the electrical fault warning also?
-
The TCU is mounted to the left side of the transmission itself. The electrical fault is a general fault message usually displayed when a critical module is not detected and not communicating on the datalink. In your truck, the Engine, trans, body controller and ABS all need to talk to each other for proper operation. If any one of those don't communicate with the others, you will get that fault message in the dash.
BubbaCox Thanks this.
