I don’t know why Swift comes as surprise to people. It’s a starter company. A mega carrier starter company at that! A place to go when you obtain your CDL and get a few months experience. That’s it. Swift is the McDonald’s of the trucking industry.
TokyoJones, snowlauncher, what2do and 5 others Thank this. -
I'm not sure I'd call it a surprise to me. I did a lot of research and ignored a LOT of negative posts and reviews, and decided to give it my best shot and endure as much of their crap as I could.
And I did. I was really hoping to tough it out for a year but, no.
Edit to add; I did not post this to express my surprise, but rather to add my voice to the chorus, or to the cacophony, as it were.Last edited: May 6, 2018

You were OTR and didn’t get home since Thanksgiving but had paychecks that didn’t cover your insurance?
That would mean you were just sitting in your truck for pretty much a full seven days at a time.
Something not adding up here -
Share your experience with Swift
Then we can compare -
Not seven days at a time, but yeah, a TON of unscheduled days off.
So, you're saying you work only to pay insurance, no taxes taken out, and at that, nothing is left after you pay that insurance? Because that's the clear implication.
Your suspiciousness betrays your troll nature. You gonna ask to see my paystubs next? I've got them.
I'm very sorry that we won't be best buds anymore. I'm crushed.driverdriver, austinmike, Lab work and 1 other person Thank this. -
I’ve been driving in the GLR (Costco) fleet for Swift for about three years. Average about 2500 miles a week. Usually stay out 3 weeks at a time, sometimes 2, sometimes 4.

Not sure what you mean by your “So, your saying you work only to pay insurance” quote. That’s what you said, that your paychecks didn’t even cover your insurance.
I don’t know the details of your situation. No hate, maybe you were just unlucky.
I’m not trolling. If all Swift drivers spent day after day with no load there’s no way they could stay in business. Hopefully you will find a company more suited for you. Good luck.Odin's Rabid Dog Thanks this. -
I thanked your post for "cacophony, as it were."
Good show, old chap.Odin's Rabid Dog Thanks this. -
