Apparently there's a guy at my terminal with high seniority that is raking in 120k a year. He comes in at 3am, starts on the dock, then gets in the truck and doesn't get done til 6pm or something like that. A whole lot of OT.

I don't understand why they don't have GPS units in the trucks! Drivers are using their phones for directions, for Pete's sake. I'm gonna pick up a GPS this weekend. How's that Magellan you have? Pretty good?

i got my Magellan Roadmate 5370-T at Kingman AZ, T/A completely using fuel points.

It has worked pretty good for over 4 years.

It has had a few minor glitches and made a few mistakes, but no GPS is perfect. This is why you should always also have and use an atlas. Also, i think using a phone to double check and verify is also a good idea.

We should probably discuss the possibility of a strike?

At UPS Freight? On what grounds? Of all the union LTL companies, UPS Freight has the least to strike over (really nothing to strike over compared to the other guys). YRC, Holland, and ABF have valid reasons to strike, and none of them have yet, so why would UPS Freight?
