    I think the bridge in question is on the short list to be replaced anyway. They have replaced several other older bridges in and around Nashville already, and this one was showing it's age before it was hit. Lots of rust underneath and pieces were coming out of the concrete deck that they had already patched.

    If you’re in any way familiar with my part of the world, the ramp from the inner loop of the Beltway to N/B I-83 includes a sharp curve where it goes under the Beltway.

    There’s been many a gas tanker that hit that bridge.

    I recall one case in particular where the state contacted a contractor they use frequently to drive loaded dump trucks across the bridge to evaluate it.

    That curve is nasty. My stepdad and cousin were coming home from the Hunt Valley area and were up on the hill behind the old mall about 20, 25 years ago and they saw the fireball from a tanker that rolled.

    This was on the north side. Exit 24.

    You may have been running around the bottom end across the Key Bridge to get to those places.

    We always came in on 83 from Pennsylvania and went to a TA downtown as I remember it, then we went into Dundalk. I never hauled oversized out of Ports America so I don’t remember how I got in there.

    Man! Lately they've been permitting us to and from Dundalk on city streets marked for 3/4 ton. I cringe rolling down those streets grossing over a 130k. Seen a few fist shakers on their porches. One of those things....

    Going back to 95 North? They have a lane shut down from about Boston St to Moravia for road work the past month or three- are they getting you on past that construction?
